Graham Rae
Managing Director
Prior to Graham founding Rae & Associates Ltd in 1999, he held varying positions within the Heavy Equipment Industry, beginning with the completion of his Automotive Engineering apprenticeship. His experience extends from being self employed and running a mechanical workshop consisting of 8 Mechanics and Engineers, through to Product Support Manager and After Sales advisory roles, within the current corporate market.
Paul Rae
General Manager and Mechanical & Automotive Assessor
Paul has been a part of Rae & Associates Ltd since 2006. Prior to this he has been heavily involved in the Construction, Forestry and Road Transport since completing his Automotive Engineer (Heavy Equipment) Apprenticeship.
Paul has been self employed as a mobile mechanic within the road transport, construction and agricultural sectors, along with holding positions as Foreman and Service Manager at mechanical workshops.
Paul is an Affiliate member of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA), while also being on the NZ Council, and also an Allied member of ANZIIF.
Paul is our Health & Safety Manager, which in itself is challenging, in this ever changing commercial environment.
Peter McDonald
Mechanical & Automotive Assessor
Peter joined our team in September 2017, prior to this he completed his apprenticeship as an Automotive Engineering (Heavy Equipment) and worked as a Technician predominately in the retail sector.
Peter accumulated over 13 years service with one of the largest Diesel Engine manufacturers in the world, both overseas and in NZ, where he progressed from being a technician to management positions including Service Manager with 20 staff, through to both a Technical Role, and Branch Manager Role.
Road Transport, Construction, Marine, Power Generation & Diesel Engines have been some of the market sectors Peter has been involved within. Most recently Peter has been in an After Sales role and progressing to Operations Manager Parts & Service with 33 staff in a large truck franchise operation, while also leading Health & Safety within these management roles.
Bruce McGonnell
Mechanical & Automotive Assessor
Bruce joined our team in September 2019, prior to this, and since completing his Automotive Engineering Trade Cert many years ago, he has spent the last 35 years within the heavy transport industry, with the last 24 ½ years working with a leading company on European and American truck brands, progressing from being a Technician to Leading Hand and Foreman positions, both in the Service & Repair workshop, Warranty Claims and the New Truck Engineering set up shop.
Road transport, Construction, Diesel Engines, Welding, Fabrication and Engineering have been some of the market sectors Bruce has been involved within.
Adam Rae
Mechanical & Automotive Assessor
Adam joined our team in July 2023,( Third Generation Rae to join the company) prior to this he completed his apprenticeship as an Automotive Engineering (Heavy Equipment) and worked as a Technician predominately in the retail sector.
Adam accumulated over 7 years’ service with one of the largest Heavy Truck Manufacturers in the world, in their Auckland based work shop and New Zealand head office , where he progressed from New Truck assembly and modifications to a fully trained service technician, including after-hours call outs and emergency breakdown
Michelle Lander
Office Manager & Assessing Support
Michelle is our Office Manager who handles all tasks associated with our assessing business, while dealing with all aspects in an administrative role.
Michelle has been involved in the machinery industry for a number of years and is very proficient with the machinery of which we deal with on a daily basis.
Eileen Butler
Office Administration & Assessing Support
Eileen undertakes a variety of office administration tasks associated with our assessing business, including being involved in overseeing claims, along with supporting our Assessors in an administrative capacity.
Eileen is our Health & Safety Co-Ordinator and has been involved in various administration roles for a number of years, and assists with our day to day office duties and special projects.

Leanne also undertakes a variety of office administration tasks associated with our assessing business, including being involved in overseeing claims, along with supporting our Assessors in an administrative capacity.

Natalia has been involved in various administration roles for 3 years, previously working in their family business, bringing time sensitive organisational skills to our Company, which are paramount in assisting with our day to day office duties and claims process
